PIGLET
QED
QED - singlespeeds With our reputation.
We have a history with singlespeeds, and people kept asking. And saying NO was
getting quite annoying for everyone. So with our new rear stay design, and with a
few other things, we thought, why not. Geometry is the same as the new Piglet, as
we think singlespeeds should be shorter rather than longer travel. But if you really
disagree, you can run something longer. It’s dedicated, purposefully singlespeed
only. With no extra bosses or mess. Just ride.
Head angle: 68.5deg (66.6deg unsagged)
Seat angle 73.5deg
BB drop: 20mm
Chainstay length: 425mm
Tyre clearance: 2.5in plus
Piglet - Have we gone sensible 120mm forks No! Just a little more mainstream.
We’ll admit that some of our designs are a little “out there”. We’ve had people used
to steep head angled XC bikes jump on our frames and talk of them feeling “odd”. We
decided to de-tune and re-tune and make something a little less eccentric, but still with
a host of Ragley features that people love. Piglet is a Baby Blue Pig, but with lots of
new features. A slimmer downtime saves weight but has Fathead strength. Geometry
is just a little steeper and designed around 120mm forks. The new investment cast
3-finger-bridge protects your frame against chainsuck and improves tyre clearance.
Conventional rear stays make people stare less and simplify cable routing - which is
still bolt-on. Piglet’s the bike for hardcore riding, for sure, but we think it’s for people
that ride with their saddle up more than their saddle down.
