December 2011 – Issue 5 - Rhyl High School

‘We don’t have the words to describe how proud we are with the achievements of our
students. Any school would be delighted with a 5% increase in results but when results
improve by 12% it is remarkable.
It has confirmed how our school has developed and how this truly remarkable year
group worked their socks off! We would like to thank them all so much for all their hard
work and we all wish them every success for the future.
The percentage figure for students gaining A*-C grades reached 52%.

QUESTION
TIME
I was very privileged recently to attend The Big Question at Rhyl Town Hall
organised by Denbighshire Youth Service. The event was led by the young
people of Denbighshire who asked questions to local officials from the police,
leisure services, social services and education. It was a wonderful experience
and showed how truly spectacular our young people are. The children from
Rhyl High were particularly impressive and did themselves and our school
proud!
