“blackout period” is lifted and participants will have full access to
their account at Prudential Retirement
normally scheduled
The anticipated “live” date is the week of October 4, 2012
Transition
What will happen to the current investments that a
participant had selected
• Both existing balances and investment elections for future
contributions will be automatically invested in an age-appropriate
conservative risk GoalMaker portfolio.
• If participants desire to make their own investment selection, they will
be able to contact Prudential.
What is GoalMaker ®
• An asset allocation program developed in conjunction with
Morningstar, LLC
• Uses investment options offered by your retirement program
• Diversified portfolios, based on various risk tolerances and time
horizons
• Automatically rebalances a participant’s account balance quarterly
Guarantees are based on the claims paying ability of the insurance company and are subject to certain limitations, terms, and conditions.
It is possible to lose money by investing in securities.
GoalMaker ®
• An asset allocation tool that matches up a participant’s risk tolerance
(conservative = C, moderate = M, aggressive = R) with their years
until retirement (0 - 5 = 01, 6 - 10 = 02, 11 - 15 = 03, 16+ = 04)
• For example, a conservative investor with 20 years to retirement = C04
• The participant’s balance & ongoing contributions are then invested in
one of twelve portfolios made up of funds in the 401(a) plan
Guarantees are based on the claims paying ability of the insurance company and are subject to certain limitations, terms, and conditions.
