The Orders and Regulations for Corps Officers, Chapter 13, Section 3, Paragraph 4.(c) states: “The house for the<br />

officers’ quarters should be (c) For the use of the officers only and not shared with other families.” Paragraph 7<br />

states: “Relatives, friends or other persons may stay with the officers at the quarters with written permission of the<br />

Divisional Commander. Officers with elderly parents unable to care for themselves may ask their Divisional<br />

Commander for permission for their parents to live with them in their quarters.”<br />

Instructions:<br />

1. This form should be used for the inspection of Salvation Army Officers <strong>Quarters</strong>. This<br />

inspection should be conducted bi-annually and is a function of the Advisory<br />

Organization Property Committee.<br />

2. All items listed in this report should be noted as “Satisfactory,” “Not Satisfactory,” or<br />

“Not Applicable.” If an item is noted as “Not Satisfactory,” repairs or replacement<br />

instructions should be provided.<br />

3. Upon completion, a copy of this report should be sent to Divisional Headquarters for<br />

review by the Divisional Finance Board. Upon acceptance of the report, Divisional<br />

Headquarters should forward a copy of the report to Territorial Headquarters.<br />

SUMMARY AND GENERAL NOTES REGARDING THE INSPECTION<br />

The inspection report above will tell you a great deal about the overall condition of this property. The review is based<br />

on visible observations of accessible areas of the property as of the date of the inspection. It is expected that all<br />

properties experience some degree of wear and all systems have finite life-expectancies. The primary purpose of this<br />

report is to provide the inspector and the occupant with a reasonable degree of confidence that this residence is being<br />

properly maintained so that finishes and systems can realize their full life-cycle.<br />

Furthermore, owning and occupying any building involves some risk and while this document can provide an<br />

overview of the general condition of the property as of the date of inspection, we cannot inspect what we cannot see.<br />

Moving furniture, any dismantling, or lighting gas pilots are not within the scope of this inspection. This report is not<br />

an exhaustive, comprehensive technical evaluation of mechanical, electrical, roofing, or plumbing systems. Where<br />

areas are determined to be of concern, licensed professionals should be hired to evaluate the condition and<br />

recommend appropriate corrective action.<br />
