E District Policing Plan 2009-2010 - Police Service of Northern Ireland

Foreword by the District Commander
Welcome to the third annual policing plan for 'E' district comprising of the
council areas of Armagh, Banbridge, Craigavon and Newry & Mourne.
This plan, and the objectives outlined within it, are the result of
consultations between communities, the District Policing Partnerships and
police, and is designed to ensure we meet your needs, in your areas,
across 'E' district.
My team includes Area Commanders who work to deliver local policing at
a local level. These Area Commanders and their staff will engage directly
with District Policing Partnerships, public representatives and local
communities to design and deliver the solutions aimed at achieving the
objectives within the plan and will provide you with reports on their
progress throughout the year using our accountability structures through
local District Policing Partnerships.
I am happy to report, that in addition to our successes of last year, this
year has again been a positive one in terms of policing performance.
Whilst other challenges lie ahead, my team and I are committed to making
best use of all local policing resources and working together to achieve our
aim of making Rural South East District an even safer place to live, work
and visit.
