Je r ry W. Fielder Me m o r i a l Aw a r d<br />

This award honors a <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> graduate in recognition of service to and support of the <strong>Cal</strong><br />

<strong>Aggie</strong> <strong>Alumni</strong> <strong>Association</strong>, the <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> Foundation and the university. The award was established<br />

in 1973 to perpetuate the lifelong interests of one of the university’s most esteemed and<br />

supportive alumni, Jerry W. Fielder ’39 (1915–1972). Specific criteria used during the selection<br />

process include service to and support of 1) <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong>, 2) the <strong>Cal</strong> <strong>Aggie</strong> <strong>Alumni</strong> <strong>Association</strong> and<br />

3) the <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> Foundation.<br />

Distinguished Achievement Aw a r d<br />

This award honors a graduate of <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> whose entire life since graduation reflects exemplary<br />

and outstanding performance and achievements. Specific criteria used during the selection process<br />

include 1) a culmination of lifetime achievements, 2) service to the university and 3) community<br />

and public service.<br />

This award honors a graduate of <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> who is distinguished in his or her career or in service<br />

outside the United States. Specific criteria used during the selection process include 1) advancement<br />

of their profession outside the United States, 2) outstanding contributions in research that<br />

benefit the country served and 3) outstanding service and problem solving outside the United<br />

States.<br />

Ou t s ta n d i n g Al u m n u s(a) Aw a r d<br />

This award honors a <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> graduate who is in the mid-point of his or her career, who does<br />

not specifically qualify for the Distinguished or Young Alumnus(a) of the Year Awards and who<br />

has displayed outstanding achievement, promoted innovative change and made outstanding<br />

contributions professionally, to the community and to <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong>. Specific criteria used during the<br />

selection process include 1) career achievement, 2) leading innovative change in their fields, 3)<br />

community and public service and 4) service to the university.<br />

This award honors a graduate of <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> who is no older than 35 or has received his or her<br />

first degree within the past 10 years and has made outstanding contributions professionally, to the<br />

community or to <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong>. Specific criteria used during the selection process include 1) contributions<br />

to profession, 2) community service and 3) <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> volunteerism.<br />

This award honors a <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> graduate who has demonstrated exemplary <strong>Aggie</strong> pride and<br />

dedication to <strong>UC</strong> <strong>Davis</strong> through personal commitment of time and energy, volunteerism and leadership,<br />

which had the purpose or effect of furthering the <strong>Cal</strong> <strong>Aggie</strong> <strong>Alumni</strong> <strong>Association</strong> or the<br />

University of <strong>Cal</strong>ifornia, <strong>Davis</strong>. Specific criteria for this award include 1) commitment of personal<br />
