HTA JET ASSEMBLY 

To Air Line Piping 

To replace the Swivel Assembly and Venturi Handle: Remove 3 screws securing clamping 

ring and gasket from jet body. Pull swivel ring B (see detail) away from swivel to 

expose retaining screw A. Remove screw A from swivel. Turn Venturi C counterclockwise 

until it is unscrewed and free from the swivel. Install new swivel assembly, securing 

it with clamping ring, gasket and 3 screws. Screws are properly tightened when the 

swivel assembly can still be manually moved from side to side, but tight enough to 

allow the Venturi handle to be turned to adjust water without turning the swivel. To 

install the handle, align the two portions of the swivel assembly with the notches on the 

handle and snap it on. NOTE: When installed, the handle is permanently in place; 

attempting to remove it will damage the snap-on feature of the handle.

VERTASSAGE JET ASSEMBLY 

To install a Vertassage Jet: 

Apply silicone sealant to back of Jet Canister, Item 3, and in Canister screw 

holes. Push Canister through jet hole from inside of spa. Apply a generous bead 

of silicone sealant around backside of jet hole. Place Jet Gasket, Item 4, on silicone 

sealant bead on backside of jet hole. Position Jet Backing Plate, Item 5, 

over Jet Gasket and install 12 Screws, Item 6, in sequence shown below. 

Tighten until snug. Tighten all screws an additional 1/4 turn in the order shown in 

the Screw Installation Sequence. DO NOT over tighten screws, doing so will 

damage the Vertassage. Install Jet Flow Path Assembly, Item 2, from inside of 

unit by twist-locking into jet Canister 1/4 turn clockwise. Mount Jet Grill/Bumper, 

Item 1, on fron of Canister ensuring Jet Flow Path Assembly pin is positioned 

inside of track in Jet Grill/ Bumper.

SKIMMER BACKING PLATE PART RELEASE (PART #G894000) 

DESCRIPTION: 

In an effort to both reduce the labor time necessary for skimmer replacements and increase 

the reliability of the repair, we have introduced the skimmer backing plate. This rectangular 

part fits behind the skimmer, sandwiching the shell of the spa between the flange of the 

skimmer and the backing plate. The holes of the backing plate are tapped and threaded to 

accept the existing mounting bolts. This eliminates the need for a "helper" to hold the nut as 

the mounting bolt is installed making it a one man job. It also ensures that the bottom middle 

bolt is properly installed to ensure the integrity of your repair. 

When installing the backing plate, it is recommended that the first bolt you install be one of 

the top corner bolts. After threading the first bolt through, the remaining holes in the backing 

plate will align with the holes in the skimmer flange. This will make installing the remaining 

bolts very easy. Refer to the diagram below to see the backing plate and skimmer positioned 

together.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR REPLACEMENT OF 

JWB 2588000 CAP ASSEMBLY 

All caps have a 90 day manufacturers warranty. When installing 

anynew cap our recommendation is as follows: 

1. When replacing 2588 cap we recommend replacing 6094 knob o-ring 

and 2591 cover gasket. 

2. When installing cap, all gaskets should be lubricated with a silicone lubricant. 

Note: lubricants with a petroleum base (vicks, etc.) will cause gaskets to breakdown 

over time. If gaskets are not lubricated with a silicone base lubricant or the wrong 

lubricant is used, this will create a situation of over tightening center knob on cap 

which causes stress and cracks center hole of cap. 

3. When installing drain valve, pressure gauge or plugs into taptings on filter cover cap, 

do not apply teflon tape or thread compound to any threads. Screw gauge, drain valve 

or plugs into cap with bare threads. A good rule of thumb is to turn gauge or drain 

valve into cap three to four full turns, then pressurize system and if there are leaks, 

tighten gauge or valve until leaks stop. 

4. When tightening knob on cap, snug up, but do not over tighten.
