Robert Martin, a
member of Cusewago
#10S, again rode in the
MultipleSclerosis Bike
Ride from Cranberry
Twp to Conneaut
Ohio, a distance of 150
miles.
He raised $3, 111 .S0.
One of his goals this
year was to be among
the Fabulous Fifty, that
is the top fifty money raisers. Well he made it. He was#39!! For this
he received a plaque and medal, in fact two. One for the placement
and one for the greatest
increase in funds
raised.
This ride gave him
1650 miles he has ridden
for M.S. He wishes
to thank all who supported
him and asks
that you consider supporting
him again. He
is proud to represent
all of the Odd Fellows
and Rebekahs. He is
often asked what or
who the Odd Fellows
are. When he has time,
he explains.
The pictures show
him as he arrived in
Cochranton, the front
and back ofhis shirt, and being welcomed by his coordinator of the
GRAND ~STE R CUPP'S OFFICIAL
VISIT TO WALKER LODGE
On Monday, October 30,
2006, Grand Master John S.
Cupp, made his official visit to
Walker Lodge. Accompanying
him were several of his appointed
and elected staff. Fred
Roth, DDGM for District ;,Jane
Danihel, Grand Conductor;
James Blaney, Jr. Past Grand
Master; Christian Haussler,
Grand Rep. to SGL; Richard
Heffner, Grand Treasurer; William
Locke, Grand Secretary;
and Stewart Brenneman,
Deputy Grand Master.
Grand Master Cupp spoke about his goals for Odd Fellowship
during his term and accomplishments to date. He presented
Walker Lodge Noble Grand, Jennifer Leah Rosa, with DVDs ofthe
Odd Fellow documents that have been electronically reproduced
to date as well as copies of the DVD introducing Odd Fellowship
that he asked all members to take and share with friends or relatives
to peak their interest in membership. Bumper stickers with the PA
lOOF website uri are on order as are lawn signs. It is important for
us to increase membership if we as an organization are going to
thrive and continue the practices ofOdd Fellowship in the coming
years. The education and instruction
of current members
and lodge officers is also important
so that the history is not
lost. To that end, the manual
for Lodge Secretaries has been
printed, complete with necessary
forms and instructions as
to purpose and how to complete,
and Deputy Grand Master
Brenneman will be holding
instructional seminars throughout
the Jurisdiction over the
next few months. The manual
for District Deputies is also in
process and seminars will be
held for them as soon as it is
ready.
