Dear Aggies and Friends
of the University,
Change can be daunting, but at North Carolina Agricultural
and Technical State University change presents opportunities
for improvement.
The year 2006-2007 was a period of change and transition for
North Carolina A&T as preparations were made to ready the
institution for new leadership to align it with the goals and
objectives of the University of North Carolina System. A forensic
audit revealed improprieties in the handling of some business and educational practices, and
after months of strategic planning and implementation, the majority of those issues were
addressed. Significant progress was made toward a satisfactory resolve.
This report highlights a few of our significant achievements that were made in 2006-2007
and the monetary contributions of the University’s supporters. I hope these pages reaffirm
that North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University continues to epitomize
its mission of being committed to fulfilling its fundamental purposes through exemplary
undergraduate and graduate instruction, scholarly and creative research, and effective
public service.
I personally thank each of you for your financial donation and unwavering support as
we continue to build upon the rich tradition of academic pride, artistic expression and
community engagement at North Carolina A&T.
