Quality<br />
Every product and component in the OPS portfolio goes through an integrated Total<br />
Quality Assurance process. This approach helps to prevent defects, improve customer<br />
satisfaction, service and costs. The net result is improved efficiency through time and<br />
labour savings, together with the assurance of the highest possible quality, unequalled<br />
distribution and service, and superior products.<br />
Material Types and Features<br />
Different procedures require different levels of protection. Therefore, we offer several<br />
fabrics and reinforcements.<br />
Regulatory Compliance<br />
All our OPS products are CE marked in conformity with the European Medical<br />
Devices Directive 93/42/EEC. The Quality Assurance system of our Australian<br />
manufacturing facility is certified to ISO9001 and ISO13485.<br />
AAMI PB70 and EN13795 are designed to guarantee a uniform level of safety for<br />
single use drapes and gowns, especially in relation to the prevention of infection and<br />
microbial transfer during surgical procedures. <strong>Medline</strong>’s OPS products conform to all<br />
the relevant critical testing standards contained in these standards.<br />
Have you heard about the 2010 ACORN Standards for Perioperative Nursing<br />
The nurse shall “prevent contamination and strike through from fluids by using an<br />
impervious drape”.<br />
Tiburon ® surgical drapes are fully impervious and meet this ACORN guideline.<br />
Impervious Test Methods for Surgical Drapes and Gowns<br />
ASTM F1670 or ISO 16603: 2004. Resistance of protective clothing materials to<br />
synthetic blood.<br />
ASTM F1671 or ISO 16604: 2004. Resistance to protective clothing materials to<br />
penetration by bloodborne pathogens using viral penetration as a test method.<br />
Freedom from Latex<br />
Rest assured, our surgical drapes and gowns are all latex-free. <strong>Medline</strong> package<br />
labels clearly show the latex-free symbol on all latex-free products.<br />
Flammability<br />
All our surgical drape and gown materials, without exception, meet the Standard for<br />
the Flammability of Clothing Textiles CPSC 16 CFR Part 1610 (USA).<br />
