End of Life Announcement
MV1510 / MV1250 OEM Products (EOLMV1250-030110)
L-1 Enterprise Access Division announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the L-1 Bioscrypt MV
1510 & MV 1250 OEM modules. MV 1250 and MV 1510 are technically the same module, it is known in
the field by the two different names due to a name change update the product went through approximately
2 years ago. Table 1 on Page 2 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the MV
1510 / MV 1250 OEM modules. The part codes covered under this EOL are as follows:
• MV1250 / 1510 Module
• 880-61163-10 - MV1250 / 1510 DSP Board
• 880-57103-16 - Sensor AFS 8500, R
Product Migration Options
The recommended migration path for the MV1250 and MV 1510 OEM modules is the MV 1210 OEM
module. The MV 1210 is compatible with the same biometric templates as the MV 1510 and MV 1250
and has a larger sensor size which can allow for easier finger placement. For more information on the

The last day to order the product(s) is 01 SEP 2010. Customers with active and paid service and support
contracts, support will be available until the termination date of the contract, even if this date exceeds the
Last Date of Support shown in Table 1. For products under warranty and submitted for repair during the
EOL lifecycle timeframe, parts and components for the MV 1250 / MV 1510 products may become
obsolete by the 3 rd party vendors. In these cases L-1 Enterprise Access Division will repair or replace with
a product of equal or greater value.

• These are minimum timeframes – L-1 reserves the right to extend these timeframes.
• Estimated ship date will be provided at time of sale.
• Spare parts availability is not guaranteed, some components may be made obsolete by 3 rd party vendors without
advanced notice provided to L-1.
• In the event a product requires replacement and the product is no longer available, L-1 will provide an option for
a product of equal or greater value.
