YARDI Genesis
Yardi Genesis property management software is a fully integrated accounting and property management system designed to administer all types of properties, including residential,
office, industrial, retail, and condo/co-op properties. Genesis features a powerful general ledger with accounts receivable (A/R) and payable (A/P) functions, check writing, and bank
reconciliation.
Genesis has an intuitive interface that lets users operate the program with ease, efficiency, and security. Screen labels can be modified, and additional screens can be added to track
any type of information users might need.
Streamlined Reporting
Integration of your property management and accounting
data enables the dissemination of up-to-date, companywide
information. Genesis combines a comprehensive
property and tenant database with report writing
capability, and comes with over 140 industry-standard
reports. Along with flexible reporting options — featuring
drill-down from summary reports to underlying detail
— Genesis reports can be exported to Microsoft Word ® ,
HTML, or RTF with a single mouse click, and can also be
e-mailed directly from the report screens.
Genesis also includes built-in expense controls, with
payable controls that make it simple for users to hold
payments for specific invoices, vendors, liability and
worker’s compensation insurance expiration.
Simplified Tracking
Work orders track the inventory, materials, labor, and
other information related to the work on a property or a
unit within a property. Genesis lets you enter, edit, and
post work orders, add specific instructions for staff and
vendors, document the status of any project, and use
work order reports as dispatch tools.
With Genesis, there is no need to purchase a separate
program to track your maintenance information. Genesis
not only tracks your work order data (vendor, work order
status, commission, etc.), but also can create both
charges and payables for the Work Order screen.
Property, unit, and tenant information at your fingertips.
Processing tenant receipts can be a labor-intensive
task, but Genesis automates this process. Smart input
methods and optional bar code scanning streamline
the recording of tenant receipts. And whether you
are dealing with simple residential rent or complex
commercial leases, Genesis provides all the easy-touse
tools you need to track your payables in both cash
and accrual accounting.
Genesis can post monthly charges with the click
of a button. With the Detailed Receipts function,
dollar amounts are automatically applied to charges
as receipts are entered. Payable features include
automated invoice entry, automatic discount
calculation, and vendor-based expense accounts.
