TECHNOLOGIES (CLASS A) (6-12)<br />

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS<br />

Applicants for the Master’s degree certification<br />

programs must be admitted to the School of <strong>Graduate</strong><br />

Studies and to Teacher Education. Admission to<br />

Teacher Education requires the applicant to (1)<br />

present evidence of having completed a<br />

Baccalaureate degree program in a teaching field, (2)<br />

present a copy of a Class B professional educator’s<br />

Certificate ( regular Master’s program); and (3)<br />

present transcript(s) showing a baccalaureate degree<br />

grade point average of 2.50 or better (on a 4.00 point<br />

system).<br />

Applicants for the Master’s degree in Instructional<br />

Leadership must have a minimum of three full years<br />

of full-time experience in a P-12 setting.<br />

Applicants for the P-12 Reading Specialists<br />

Certification must have completed two years of<br />

teaching experience and present a copy of a Class B<br />

Professional Educator’s Certificate in Elementary<br />

Education, Early Childhood Education, or<br />

Collaborative Teacher. Applicants may also hold a<br />

Class B professional Educator’s Certificate in<br />

Secondary Education, but must complete two courses<br />

in reading, including an Introduction to Reading.<br />
