About IMADEC ®
Founded in 1991, IMADEC ® is Austria’s first private, fully
independent and degree-granting academic institution, which
is conveniently located in Vienna, only a few minutes away
from the Schönbrunn Palace. All instruction takes place in
state-of-the-art facilities at the IMADEC ® campus located
on the grounds of the historic Villa Lobkowitz.
IMADEC ® specializes in innovative post-graduate
academic programs and has earned its reputation through
uncompromising excellence and a rigorous experiencebased
educational approach.
IMADEC ® ’s faculty consists of an exceptional group of
internationally renowned scholars and experts from some
of the world’s leading universities. The language of
instruction is English.
IMADEC ® programs are accredited by the Austrian Federal
Minister for Science and Research (BGBl.II Nr. 53/2010).
Target group
The International LL.M. program is designed for the
private or public administrations, lawyers and the business
community at large. Naturally, continuing employment is
possible and even encouraged.
Admission criteria
• An acceptable first degree in law
• Personal interview with the Academic Director
• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
Class size
Maximum of 30 students/class.

Length and Structure of Program
The International LL.M. Program is structured in 57 ”units”
according to EU/US Standards. Although designed as a
one-year program it can be individually extended;
however, completion time may not exceed 5 years
counted from the time the first class was taken.
Please note: A characteristic, acclaimed, and indispensable
feature of our International LL.M. Degree-Program is the
writing of a Master’s Thesis and its oral defense.

ELECTIVES
In addition to the Core Curriculum IMADEC ®
offers a variety of Electives in related academic fields.
Students are required to take a minimum of 3 Electives
of their choice.
Organization
The program is comprised of the Core Curriculum of
10 intensive study sessions of 4 days and a minimum of
3 Electives (of 4 days) in the fields of economics, law,
sociology or political theory. All classes are taught at the
IMADEC ® campus in Vienna, A.
Graduation
To qualify for the degree a ”Grade Point Average” (GPA)
of ”B” or better is required. Only the positive completion
of the entire course work (57 units) and the successful
defense of the approved Master’s Thesis will lead to the
internationally recognized International LL.M. degree.
