Site Consideration They selected an expressive and easily grasped form, the image of which can be readily associated with the region when seen from both the ground and the air. It symbolizes the idea of flight and passage, the character of the mountain scape, and the notion of soaring.
Historical Context Consideration They felt that the existing architecture of the airport should be preserved and enhanced by the new building. Therefore, they framed the front of the building and conserved the symmetry of the complex as much as possible.
