Meet the Kurds
Many people from Kurdistan
have come to Cork to seek
refuge from the political
situation in their country.
Some are current or past students at this College
of Further Education. It’s hard for the Irish to fully
appreciate how different life is in a place like
Kurdistan. This morning is an opportunity for the
public to understand something of Kurdish culture as
the students put on a demonstration and celebration
of their country. It includes music, dance, food,
history, archaeology, folklore and much more – so
drop in during the two hours. Everyone welcome to
meet the Kurds. Info: Shane Lehane 496 1020
