Mastic<br />

Mastic sealants consist of rubber compounds or<br />

bitumen and inert mineral filler, which are usually<br />

are thoroughly cleaned, dried and prepared in<br />

accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.<br />

A sufficient amount of sealant should be used<br />

to fill the annular joint space with some squeeze<br />

out. During cold weather, better workability of the<br />

mastic sealant can be obtained if the mastic and<br />

joint surfaces are warmed.<br />

Mortar<br />

Mortar consists of portland cement paste, sand<br />
