Centennial Park Big Band Dances<br />
Metro Parks’ popular Big Band Dances kick off every<br />
Saturday night in June at <strong>the</strong> Centennial Park Event<br />
Shelter. A variety of free dance lessons are taught at 7 and<br />
8:30 p.m. and live music plays from 7:30 to 10 p.m. Bring<br />
your lawn chair and dance shoes.<br />
Bonnaroo Music Festival<br />
The Bonnaroo Music Festival,<br />
debuted in 2002 on a 600-acre<br />
farm in rural Manchester, located<br />
60 miles south of Nashville. This<br />
event, held June 13 – 16, <strong>2013</strong>,<br />
features a diverse atmosphere,<br />
and three days of never-ending<br />
music. With acts ranging from<br />
Mumford and Sons, Wu Tang<br />
Clan and Weird Al Yankovic this<br />
truly is <strong>the</strong> “Festival to end all<br />
festivals.”<br />

Frist Center for Visual Arts<br />
Not only an important cultural focal point for <strong>the</strong> city of<br />
Nashville, it is also a significant architectural structure,<br />
occupying one of Nashville’s great historic landmarks,<br />
<strong>the</strong> former main post office. Constructed from 1933 to<br />
1934 under <strong>the</strong> direction of <strong>the</strong> local architectural firm<br />
Marr & Holman, it displays both of <strong>the</strong> most distinctive<br />
architectural styles of <strong>the</strong> period: Classicism and Art Deco.<br />
Cheekwood Botanical Gardens & Museum of Art<br />
This 55-acre estate built by <strong>the</strong> Maxwell House Coffee fortune<br />
in Nashville is one of <strong>the</strong> finest examples of an American<br />
Country Place Era Estate in <strong>the</strong> United States. The botanical<br />
garden is a spectacular showcase of color and horticultural<br />
diversity with eleven specialty display gardens and stunning<br />
natural landscape. The Museum of Art has collections of<br />
