Cell-to-Cell Communication – Inflammatory Reactions.<br />
Visualizing <strong>the</strong> invisible while experiencing a fascination with science!<br />
The world premier <strong>of</strong> this new technology took place at <strong>EuroPerio</strong> 7. This spectacularly sophisticated computer animation in<br />
HD quality depicted <strong>the</strong> highly complex process <strong>of</strong> intercellular interaction during an inflammatory periodontal reaction. The<br />
various cell types constituted <strong>the</strong> main “cast” <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> film, using a finely tuned communication process in <strong>the</strong>ir quest to destroy <strong>the</strong><br />
bacterial invaders, with messenger molecules as <strong>the</strong> “supporting cast”. This was indeed a stunning didactic and dramatic experience.<br />

The complimentary <strong>EuroPerio</strong> 7 Conference App was online in advance. It was<br />
available for iPhone, iPad, Android and as a mobile website, enabling delegates to<br />
select sessions to attend and access a personalized <strong>EuroPerio</strong> 7 programme.<br />
ÖGP Charity run<br />
The ÖGP charity run/walk took place on Saturday morning in <strong>the</strong> Prater Park area, close to <strong>the</strong> conference<br />
venue. Charity donations <strong>of</strong> 15.00 per head were collected prior to commencement. All donations were<br />
given to "neunerHaus", an institution, which provides shelter as well as medical and dental care to homeless<br />
people. More than 1.000 needy people are already being treated in <strong>the</strong> neunerHaus dental practice.<br />
This could not have been possible without this valuable assistance.<br />
A great number <strong>of</strong> delegates participated amidst a feeling <strong>of</strong> comradeship and charity. Each person who<br />
finished <strong>the</strong> course received a medal at <strong>the</strong> finish line. Three trophies were also presented, one for each<br />
<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> three age categories assigned for <strong>the</strong> event. The OGP Charity run/walk was generously sponsored<br />
by Planmeca.<br />
