On upgradation under the Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme, pay of the
person should be fixed under the provision of FR-22(I)(a)(1) as per MOF DOE F. No. 1/1/12008-IC dated
13.09.2008. At the time of actual promotion, no pay fixation would be available and only difference of grade
pay would be available.
Concerned officials is advised to give an option for fixation of his pay on grant of financial upgradation

under MACP Scheme within one month from the date of issue of this office order.
The MACP Scheme allows placement on personal basis in the higher pay scale with financial benefit

only and shall not amount to actual functional promotion of the employee concerned. The benefit of MACP
Scheme being personal to the employees, it shall have no relevance to the seniority position and for stepping up
of pay at par with juniors.
