HILLSIDE SCHOOL GAMES DAY PILOT IS A FLYING SUCCESS!
Hillside Primary School in Baddeley Green was recently the host for a pilot running of an
Olympic style School Games Day. Incorporating a grand and very colourful opening and
closing ceremony, the day started with the Hillside Street Dance Crew show and then a
carousel of activities including Cricket, Dance, Athletics, Football and Fitzy skills for Key
Stage 1 pupils. Lunchtime started with a healthy meal in the classroom before watching
Taekwondo and New Age Kurling demonstrations. This fantastically successful day was
filmed to share with other Stoke schools and finished with an impromptu Dance display
and awards of Olympic value certificates to the best boy and in each of the day’s
