Did you know<br />

• UHF - Invented in the 1930's by an <strong>Amphenol</strong><br />

engineer, E. Clark Quackenbush, for use in<br />

the radio industry.<br />

• N - Was the first coaxial connector capable of<br />

microwave performance and was invented by<br />

and named for Paul Neill of Bell Labs.<br />

• C - Invented by and named for <strong>Amphenol</strong><br />

engineer Carl Concelman. Type C has quick<br />

connect/disconnect bayonet coupling<br />

features.<br />

• BNC - A miniature version of the Type C.<br />

The name stands for Bayonet Neill<br />

Concelman.<br />

• TNC - The name stands for Threated Neill<br />

Concelman. This series features threated<br />

screws for mating.<br />
