Double Struck Peace<br />
Dollars are extremely<br />
rare and are highly<br />
coveted by mint error collectors<br />
and dealers. This exciting double<br />
struck mint error has a second<br />
strike that was 80% off-center.<br />
The positioning of the second<br />
strike, as well as the design<br />
that shows (part of the<br />
face and neck) makes<br />
this Peace Dollar as<br />
visual and dramatic<br />
as ever.<br />
NGC recently certified and<br />
graded this coin, which was in a<br />
major collection for many years. It<br />
has since changed hands and has<br />
been placed in another collection<br />
of spectacular and unique major<br />
mint errors.<br />
There is no design<br />
on the reverse of the<br />
second strike since a<br />
blank planchet was in<br />
the collar between this<br />
coin and the reverse die.<br />
