Fibre Optic Distribution Systems - Description<br />
A customised solution for the distribution of a reference clock can be configured to suit individual<br />
requirements. The system can be built up from a combination of self contained DA-36 units, or the<br />
more flexible, modular DA-35 system.<br />
The distribution is completely analogue over fibre and the signal is reconstructed with the help of a<br />
steep bandpass filter. Interference, such as noise and distortion, can be completely eliminated by<br />
the filter.<br />
The signal to noise ratio in the received signal can be almost equal, and in certain cases, better than<br />
the input signal, even in cases where the signal is distributed hundreds of metres.<br />
By using a fibre optic cable for transmission, a galvanic isolation is created between the transmitter<br />
and receiver. The fibre is immune to external disturbances such as cross-talk and ESD.<br />
The receiver has automatic gain control, which makes installation and adjustments easier. Distances<br />
up to 2000 metres can be achieved.<br />
