A single message device is a great introduction to the power of communication.
Messages that allow you to attract attention, make requests, choose or even
reject something that’s not wanted can be a great start to being independent
(and it can be great fun directing others!) It is quick and easy to change the
message, so you can create lots of opportunities for the learner to join in. Then
you can move on to two message devices to introduce choice making!

give a sequence of instructions to a
carer or friend, or count objects.

Listen to Me
Twelve message buttons each have up to 10 seconds of
speech. Record high quality voice messages (tip: record
on the lowest volume setting) and play them back at one of
three volume settings. Each button has a 1” square sleeve
on top for symbols or pictures. The carry case also acts
as a moisture guard. It has a jack for an audio input lead
(supplied) for recording direct from a CD. There is also a
jack for an A/C adapter (supplied separately) although the
unit normally runs from the three AA batteries (Duracell
supplied) and will power down after five minutes if not
used. Dimensions: 7” x 5” x 1”.
