It can be used for metallic 

pipes, power / data cables, and 

plastic piping or conduit. The 

DIGISYSTEM takes the guess work 

out of underground digging, whilst 

increasing productivity and safety.

The DIGICAT 100 unit is designed to 

help avoid damage to underground 

services during excavation and is an 

easy to operate, fully automatic location 

system with the ability to manually tune 

if preferred. 

Digicat 550i (#LG780231) 

The Digicat 550i extends the depth 

of the Digicat 100 to 3m. When used 

with the DIGITEX 8/33 (operating in 

the 33kHz mode) the real depth and 

location of all services can be found. 

Available in two display formats, 

offering depth estimation to 3m and 

an accuracy of 10%. 

With its automatic controls and 

combined detection mode “Auto 

Mode” the Digicat 550i locator has 

been specifically designed to reduce 

human error during the location process. 

Combined with its precise

DIGITEX 8/33 Signal Generator &

Designed in conjunction with the 

DIGICAT locator, to easily and accurately 

trace the route of, or locate, an 

underground cable or metal pipe that 

does not carry a naturally present 

signal. The DIGITEX generates a specific 

“active” signal, which can then be 

traced using the DIGICAT. The Digitrace 

cable comes in 30m, 50m and 80m

the new standard in entry level machine 

control. Ideal for foundations, 

embankments, pipe trenches, grading, and 

even for underwater work. The bucket’s 

position is displayed relative to a target 

grade on the display. By eliminating 

over-excavation, and working faster, 

contractors will save time, money, fuel and 

materials costs. 

Safety Features of PowerDigger Lite 

Leica PowerDigger Lite also removes the 

need for grade checking, increasing safety 

on busy construction sites. Additionally, 

when working in potentially dangerous 

areas, e.g. under bridges and power lines or 

inside buildings, the operator can preset a 

maximum working height or depth, and be 

warned when the excavator arm or bucket

camera with colour 3.5” LCD monitor,

Survey Accessories – ikeGPS 

The ike1000 is a combination of a GPS, 

camera, rangefinder and compass in one 

instrument. Ike1000 is able to instantly 

provide the location of a site up to 1000m 

away. 

A number of benefits 

immediately result: 

- The user can capture multiple points 

while remaining at a single site. 

- The user can remain safe, where 

physically collecting the points would 

put him/her at risk. 

- The data collection time can 

be reduced. 

The ike1000 is shock and water proof to 

IP67, and boasts a Windows Mobile 

computer, GPS, compass and inclinometer. 

ikeGPS simplifies GIS data capture to “pointand-shoot”. 

The targeted point location is 

calculated from the instrument readings, 

inclusive of local GPS location, compass 

bearing, pitch and roll and rangefinder 

distance. Cross-hairs are embedded into the 

image so the captured location data is 

100% verifiable with an image that can 

always be referred back to for confirmation. 

ikeGPS integrates with data capture 

applications like ArcPad and comes with a 

range of optional accessories.
