SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS<br />

Matthew Schmidt, a Business Administration major from Argyle, and<br />
Debbie Guggenberger, a Court Reporting major from Richmond were<br />
recipients of scholarships presented at the Fifth Annual Scholarship<br />
Recognition Banquet. The scholarships were awarded to Schmidt<br />
and Guggenberger based on their academic ability, outstanding<br />
leadership, and community involvement and are made possible<br />
through alumni donations.<br />
Tracy Faldet, Clearbrook, court reporting<br />
major, was awarded a scholarship for<br />
outstanding students by Dick Widseth, NWSA<br />
alumni prexy.<br />
The Scholarship Recognition Banquet is held in the fall of each year.<br />
This year there were over 240 people in attendance including 89<br />
student recipients and 60 major donors. One hundred scholarships<br />
adding up to nearly $60,000 were presented that evening.<br />
UMC Alumni Association President, AI Gustafson, presented the<br />
Association awards.
