NCSY offers a range of monthly events, from Go-Karting to c<strong>as</strong>ino nights to evenings<br />
with famous speakers. NCSY also offers programs almost every day and night of the<br />
week, including the popular Teen Lounge program, JSU public school clubs, an accredited<br />
Hebrew school, Friday night onegs, and weekend outings.<br />
NCSY also sponsors Junior NCSY for 6th–8th graders. Junior NCSY h<strong>as</strong> its own Teen<br />
Lounge nights every week <strong>as</strong> well <strong>as</strong> each weekend. Outings and retreats include its<br />
partnership with the very successful Tween Extreme program, which draws over 100<br />
teens for events such <strong>as</strong> the Limo Scavenger Hunt.<br />
NCSY offers summer programs that travel all over the world, including to Israel,<br />
Italy, Spain, and E<strong>as</strong>tern Europe. <strong>The</strong> <strong>Northwest</strong> NCSY region h<strong>as</strong> chapters in cities<br />
throughout the <strong>Northwest</strong>, including Portland, Eugene, Seattle, Vancouver, Calgary,<br />
Edmonton, Victoria, and Al<strong>as</strong>ka.<br />
NCSY offers a fully accredited Hebrew school through its allied agency, <strong>Jewish</strong> High.<br />

NFTY-NW brings together Reform <strong>Jewish</strong> teens in grade 9–12 from W<strong>as</strong>hington,<br />
Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Al<strong>as</strong>ka and the province of British Columbia. <strong>The</strong>ir members<br />
come together several times during the year for learning, fun, worship, community<br />
service, and fellowship to help young <strong>Jewish</strong> adults throughout the region build and<br />
strengthen lifetime ties with each other and Reform Judaism.<br />

United Synagogue Youth is the Conservative movement’s high school program for<br />
9th–12th graders with a Kadima group geared for 6th–8th graders. <strong>The</strong> Pinwheel region<br />
consists of 11 chapters throughout W<strong>as</strong>hington, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia and<br />
Alberta. USY members join together 5–6 times a year for regional conventions and<br />
Shabbatonim involving leadership, community service, Israel, religious, social and<br />
educational programming.<br />
International USY sponsors a number of programs, including the International USY<br />
convention in December, and summer programs such <strong>as</strong> USY Israel Pilgrimage and USY<br />
on Wheels (usy.org). USY emph<strong>as</strong>izes the importance of social action and community<br />
service. <strong>The</strong> organization operates a tzedakah foundation called Tikkun Olam and all<br />
regional events include social awareness programming.<br />

Mission: To empower parents to become more effective parents. <strong>The</strong> researchb<strong>as</strong>ed<br />
curricula promote strong family bonds and set the foundation for long-l<strong>as</strong>ting<br />
emotional health.<br />
<strong>The</strong> website is an online community of expecting moms, parents, grandparents,<br />
extended families and friends with the goal of nurturing powerful relationships<br />
between parents and their children.<br />
Additionally, they offer two unique, professionally and clinically designed programs<br />
for parents of young children in the greater Seattle area.<br />
Listening Mothers: Listening Mothers provides facilitated discussions in all that<br />
motherhood brings. By becoming more attuned to themselves and their babies,<br />
moms learn how to uniquely engage and emotionally stimulate their baby. Extensive<br />
research h<strong>as</strong> shown that this process helps to further a baby’s cognitive, emotional,<br />
and social intelligence.<br />
<strong>The</strong> Listening Mothers program is a small group program providing unique support<br />
and information for up to seven mothers of babies up to 6 months old. <strong>The</strong>y meet once<br />
