In total, 84.03% of the students benefitting from the program reside in Medellín, the remaining 15.94% are persons who were born in Medellín but live in
different municipalities.
Corporate Governance
The Framework Agreement on Relations between the
Municipality of Medellín and EPM, valid from 2008, is the
central instrument for the Owner-Company management,
and its application was the central axis of the Corporate
Governance in 2011, through a detailed follow-up
arrangement.
To ensure its performance, and to comply with the better
standards of Corporate Governance that guarantee a
balanced measurement between the various governance
entities of EPM, in 2011, a proposal of adjustment to the
Corporate Governance Model of EPM was designed, with the
scope of a multi-Latin Corporate Group.

reported in detail in a chapter of this report:
Transparency
With a total of 95 points out of 100, EPM reached a degree of
outstanding development in its practices and transparency
mechanisms, in the fourth version of the study done by
Transparency for Colombia for the utilities sector, in which
participated voluntarily 22 companies of the country.
With this score, EPM is located as the second-most
outstanding Colombian company for its practices of
transparency, exceeding by six points the rating obtained in
the prior year.
