According to Wright, construction is almost complete
campaign possible.
In the coming months, Peregrine’s Wright said, GGLC will
be breaking ground on a retail and commercial section
In addition, Wright said the restoration of the cemetery
is to honor the veterans, both Americans and Filipinos,
who are interred there.
“We want to achieve national recognition and federal
support for the cemetery,” Wright said.
The other day, Vietnam War hero retired Sergeant Major
Frederick Edward Smith, who died last January 12 at the
age of 68, was interred there.
His burial was considered as one of the “most
decorated” the Clark Cemetery has had in recent
history.
“The ongoing restoration campaign is something that
Surgeant Major Smith would be proud to know and
support. His passing has helped to address the needs of
the cemetery,” Wright said.
