Catherine the Great, through the Soviet era, until present, Russian
circus has remained a favorite form of entertainment, even during
times of great change within Russian society.

from all its contemporaries -
from ballet and opera to
sporting events and cinema -
is its universal appeal. Circus is
enjoyed by all, regardless of

simple ambition to continue producing world class performances on
the concert platform and on record. His commitment to music and
musicians is phenomenal, not only as a soloist either in concerto or in
recital, but also as a chamber player, or conductor of one of his two
orchestras, or as a teacher, either at home in Moscow, or at Siena,
every summer.

Swan Lake Balet in The State Kremlin Palace

Swan Lake is one of fth the most loved of all l classical ballets and one of
the most popular in the Kremlin Ballet repertory. It has that magical
combination of Tchaikovsky’s music, a compelling story of tragic romance
and choreography that allows the very best dancers to show
just how impressive they can be.
It returns for a second time this Season in Anthony Dowell’s romantic
production whose designs were inspired by Imperial Russia of 1895,
when the ballet was first performed. Against this atmospheric setting,
Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov’s choreography provides an opportunity
to see great dance partnerships in the leading roles and the
whole Company in the dance ensembles. Illuminated by moonlight,
the charged solos for the Prince and Odette and her alter-ego Odile,
the machinations of Von Rothbart and the colour of a palace ball all
combine with glorious music to make for an evening of inspiration
and romance.

“OBLOMOV” Russian Restaurant

The menu consists of traditional dishes, cooked according to recipes, which age is estimated
for centuries. For example, all kinds of soup and porridge from the Russian stove or
meat on a spit. But it is also widely represented modern russian kitchen, and in addition,
for each season in the menu added gastronomic applications.

“SHINOK” Ukrainian Restaurant

Restaurant with a Ukrainian farmhouse inside.
In the old days small taverns in Ukraine were
called "shinoks". The modern Shinok Restaurant
is situated in the famous restaurants’ row in
Presnya Street, close to the White House and
International Trading Center. The original interior
of the restaurant corresponds well with its
name. Outside and inside it is designed as a
traditional Ukrainian peasant house with a
thatched roof and a massive oak-door. The clay
walls are adorned with embroidered towels,
pots and pans stand on the shelves.
