PRICES All prices <strong>and</strong> supplements shown in this brochure are per person. TIMINGS Please note that our trains operate within the constraints of the rail network <strong>and</strong> confirmed departure <strong>and</strong> arrival timings may not be given to us until four <strong>day</strong>s prior to departure. All timings shown in this brochure are for guidance only <strong>and</strong> confirmed timings, together with your itinerary, will be sent with your travel documents once these timings are received. Please arrive 20 minutes before departure time. STEAM DEPARTURES Where steam is advertised, every effort will be made to operate using steam traction for all or part of the journey. It is possible that diesel or electric traction may have to be substituted at short notice. In this event a refund of the difference between the fare for steam traction <strong>and</strong> the fare for conventional traction (if any) may be payable. WARDROBE NOTES Smart casual wear (but not jeans or trainers) is the order of the <strong>day</strong>. For Pullman dinner departures more formal wear is customary. A jacket <strong>and</strong> a tie for men is required at Ascot <strong>and</strong> Ebor. For outdoor events such as Cowes, please wear practical clothing. MEALS Your fare includes table d’hôte meals on the journey. Menus are liable to seasonal change. If you have any special dietary requirements, make sure to advise when booking <strong>and</strong> we will do our best to comply. We are, however, unable to provide meals requiring strict religious observance in the preparation. SMOKING With apologies to smokers, Orient-Express operates a no smoking policy aboard its UK trains. MOBILE PHONES Out of consideration for your fellow passengers, please turn off mobile phones whilst in your carriage. GIFT CERTIFICATES If you’re seeking a very acceptable present for a special occasion, look no further. We offer gift vouchers for an actual excursion or a set amount. DISABLED PASSENGERS We regret that our carriages cannot be boarded in wheelchairs. However, our staff are available to assist any passengers to their seats <strong>and</strong> folding wheelchairs can be stored in the vestibules. Some excursions are more suitable for disabled travellers than others. Please ask for details. The below information applies to UK residents only. Health The insurance contains conditions that relate to your health <strong>and</strong> that of others not necessarily travelling with you but upon whose wellbeing the holi<strong>day</strong> may depend. Conditions, Exclusions <strong>and</strong> Warranties These limit or restrict the cover provided. Some apply to all sections of the insurance whilst others only apply to specific sections. Claims for Personal Baggage This insurance does not provide cover on a ‘new for old’ basis, which means that deductions for age, wear <strong>and</strong> tear will be made where appropriate. Sums Insured or Limits All sections of the insurance have a limit on the amount the Insurer will pay. Some sections have internal limits such as the amount the Insurer will pay for any one item or the total amount for all valuables. Excesses Under most sections of the insurance, claims will be subject to an excess of £50. This means you will be responsible for paying part of the claim. Reasonable Care You are required to take all reasonable care of yourself <strong>and</strong> your property <strong>and</strong> to act at all times as though you are not insured. Complaints The insurance contains a procedure which you should follow if you wish to make a complaint. Jurisdiction The insurance will be subject to English law unless otherwise agreed. ‘Cooling Off Period’ If the insurance does not meet your requirements you may return the documentation within 14 <strong>day</strong>s of purchase or prior to travel if this is sooner <strong>and</strong> provided no claim has been made to obtain a refund. OUR CARRIAGES BRITISH PULLMAN – 20-seat carriage with one coupé (a private compartment) At any given time, we operate between eight <strong>and</strong> 11 passenger carriages. There are four different styles of Pullman carriage, seating between 20 <strong>and</strong> 26 passengers with various seating combinations made up of tables for one, two, three <strong>and</strong> four. Please note that at busy times, you may be seated sharing a table. NORTHERN BELLE There are six passenger carriages, each with the same interior layout of tables for two <strong>and</strong> four. Please note that you may be seated sharing a table. Parties of four may benefit from our Table for Four promotion <strong>and</strong> enjoy a 10% discount. A table for two may be guaranteed by booking our Premier Package, priced at £100, which includes a boxed bottle of Laurent Perrier champagne. EXCLUSIVELY ORIENT-EXPRESS For an intimate occasion, an important business lunch or just to indulge yourself, why not book one of our coupés, a private compartment found only on the British Pullman, which can seat up to four guests (subject to availability). For larger parties enjoy the exclusive use of a whole carriage or more. Or you can even charter the entire train!
