Furthermore, to hear her tell the

tragedy that so

people today live

If one
believes God’s
Word on the subject,
the prospect
of eternity is brimming

However, I find
that incredible
numbers of Christians, even though
they have trusted their lives to
Christ and willingly believe the
Word of God, do not know or
understand what God says about
death. In their unwitting blindness,
not reading or absorbing the beautiful
truth of the Scriptures on this
subject, they live their lives in terror
of the future. Heartbreaking!
But God has not called me to
stand idly by and wring my hands
about a lack of understanding
among Christians; He has called me
to study His Word and then to
“Preach the word; Yes, to be instant
in season, out of season; and to
reprove, rebuke, exhort with all
longsuffering and doctrine” (2
Timothy 4:2). This I have done
throughout my adult life, with as
much faithfulness and fervor as I

grace and with His help! I have
spent an estimated 90,000 hours of
my life in study and memorization
of the Scriptures and in study of
commentaries, periodicals and
other materials related to prophetic
passages of the
Word and endtime
events which
reflect them. I
have memorized
more than 15,000
verses, both
chronologically
and topically, and
the Holy Spirit has
faithfully and consistently
synthesized
these passages
in my heart
and mind, “connecting
the dots”
of God’s truth. All
of this has
occurred not for
my own exclusive
edification, even
though such a
continuous flow of
revelation from on
high has been among the greatest
joys of my life! No, the Lord has
given me this passion for the Word
so that I might bring friends like
you from confusion into clarity, and
bring the lost from darkness into
light!
Thus, as questions and errors
about life after death have presented
themselves in countless conversations,
letters, emails, and personal
encounters over the years, I have
sensed, deep within my spirit, that
Rexella and I must express the truth
of the Word in a special teaching

At the heart of this fast-paced

As one reads through the
Scriptures, any reference to “life”
indicates the condition of being
“united to” something; any reference
to “death” indicates being
“separated from” that same entity.
“The Lord God formed man of the
dust of the ground and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life
and man became a living soul,”
Genesis 2:7 declares. From that
moment, a person becomes alive
because the spirit of life is united to
the body. When death comes reversal
occurs as the spirit of life leaves
one’s body. James 2:26 confirms
this: “As the body without the spirit
is dead.” When spirit and body are
separated, a person dies. This is
physical death. The same principle
is identical in the spiritual realm:
we say a person is spiritually dead
when he has never been united to
Christ through salvation and spiritually
alive when he has been born
again and united to Christ. You
may wonder about how to interpret
the term, “the second death” which
occurs after the decease of life.

Now what happens when a
Christian dies What happens when
a non-Christian dies Many are
puzzled as they read various portions
of the Bible. Jesus used the
term paradise. Yet the scriptural
account asserts that while Jesus was
in the grave, He went into hell —
called hades. The Bible translators
expressed the term hades 11 separate
times as hell. This is also true
of the term Gehenna, used 12
times, and also translated as hell.

Overlapping these terms are references
to “Abraham’s bosom” and
“sheol.” What and where are these
places, and how do they interrelate
The truth is not a puzzle; it is fully
knowable and totally understandable.

TERROR EXPERT: al QAEDA WMD
ATTACK ON U.S. LIKELY SOON
The Jerusalem Post reports: “An
al Qaeda attack on the U.S. with
non-conventional weapons is virtually
‘inevitable,’ and the organization
is likely ‘tying up the knots’ for
such an attack, Yossef Bodansky,
former director of the U.S.
Congressional Task Force on
Terrorism and Unconventional
Warfare, told The Jerusalem Post.
‘All of the warnings we have
today indicate that a major strike —
something more horrible than anything
we’ve seen before — is all but
inevitable,’ he said.
Bodansky, here for the second
annual Jerusalem Summit, an international
gathering of conservative
thinkers, added that ‘the primary
option’ for the next al Qaeda attack
on U.S. soil would be one that would
use weapons of mass destruction.
‘I do not have a crystal ball, but
this is what all the available evidence
tells us, we will have a bang,’
Bodansky said.
He said that al Qaeda has not
carried out a second major attack
on the U.S. until now for internal
psychological and ideological reasons,
but after the re-election of President
George W. Bush, it has gotten ‘the
green light’ to do so from leading
Islamic religious luminaries, as well
as from ‘the elites of the Arab world.’
According to Bodansky’s reading
of Osama bin Laden’s mind-set,
after the elaborate attacks of 9/11
there was no need for the ‘bin
Ladens of the world’ to carry out a
second major attack in the U.S.,
both because the target audience of
the attacks — the Arab and Islamic
world — had gotten the message
that America could be penetrated,
and because a second attack would
necessarily have to be more
grandiose.
‘Following the attacks and the
U.S.-led war on terror, a debate
started within the operational arm
of the organization over the potential
use of weapons of mass destruction,’
Bodansky said.
He also said that while there may
still be some vestiges of debate and
doubt within Islamic circles, he
believes that planning for such an
attack is finished. ‘They got the
kosher stamp from the Islamic
world to use nuclear weapons,’ he

chapters 50 & 51; and Revelation
18, especially verses 10,17,19)
PROMINENT PASTOR FACES
HARSH SENTENCE
WorldNetDaily.com reports: “A
prominent Beijing house-church
leader, found in possession of a
massive cache of Bibles and
Christian literature, faces a harsh
sentence if convicted in his upcoming
trial,” according to Chinese contacts
of the U.S. activist group Voice of
the Martyrs.
Cai Zhuohua, 32, the leading
minister to six house churches in
Beijing, will be tried formally in court
in the Chinese capital any day now,
the Oklahoma-based group said.
The pastor was seized Sept. 11 by
three plain-clothes officers believed
to be from the Department of State
Security, VOM said. Eyewitnesses
said he was waiting at a bus stop
when three strong men approached
and pushed him into a white van.
Cai was on his way home from a
Bible study session. His wife, Xiao
Yunfei, was arrested Sept. 27 with
her brother, Xiao Gaowen, and sisterin-law,
Hu Jinyun, while hiding in
Hunan province. All four are held
at Qinghe Detention Center,

Cai and his wife face a harsh
sentence because of their prominent
role in Beijing’s house-church
movement, which is banned by the
communist government. The regime
allows Protestant church activity
only under the state-controlled
Three-Self Patriotic Movement.

government church, which rejects
ties to the Vatican.
The case is being handled directly
by the Department of State Security.
Qiang Wei, deputy general secretary
of the Politics and Law Commission
of Beijing, issued a two-word, handwritten
directive, ‘Yan Ban!’ —
meaning to deal with it harshly and
severely, according to VOM sources.
The central government, the
sources say, has labeled it the ‘most
serious case on overseas religious
infiltration since the founding of the
People’s Republic of China.’
Authorities apparently were
shocked to find about 200,000
copies of the Bible and other
Christian literature in a storage
room managed by Cai.
The government allows only a
publisher affiliated with the Three-
Self Patriotic Movement to print a
strictly limited number of Bibles
and Christian literature each year.

SCIENCE’S LATEST FRONTIER — HEADLESS HUMANS
WorldNetDaily.com reports: “With Californians voting overwhelmingly
to borrow $3 billion to begin cloning for stem-cell research,
it’s just a short leap to the suggestions of an Indian scientist who
proposes breeding headless humans to be used for harvesting organs
and other forms of commercial exploitation.
That’s the notion put forth by P.B. Desai, former director of the
Tata Medical Center, who addressed the issue in a speech titled
‘Conquest Over Mortality,’ according to the Indo-Asian News Service.
‘Science is moving at such a fast pace that scientists have proven
that they can create headless mice through removal of genes in
embryo that control development of the head,’ said Desai. ‘But the
body would have the capacity to keep the organs functional for use as
transplants.’
Desai floated the idea at a meeting of the Chicago-based International
College of Surgeons in New Delhi.
Desai anticipates restrictions on the creation of a headless human
being who has the capacity to keep organs functioning but no thinking
mind.
‘The ultimate aim of science and medicine is toward immortality,’
he said. ‘But I personally think a human being has to first learn to be
a man, and once you learn the value of finite, you will not play god.’
The quest for immortality could lead to the creation of headless
humans for commercial exploitation and plunder of organs, Desai
said ...” (Romans 1:30 — “inventors of evil things.”)

One of the great ironies in the
Gospel accounts of Jesus’ last days
on earth is the story of His
Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem.
We still remember and commemorate
this event each year on Palm
Sunday.
The Bible tells us that Jesus sent
two disciples to find a donkey colt
no one had ever ridden before and
to bring it to Him. They did, and put
their cloaks across the little animal’s
back for a saddle.
Then Jesus rode from the Mount
of Olives, across the valley and

“Hosannah!” they cried. “Blessed
is He that cometh in the name of
the Lord. Hosannah in the highest!”
So Jesus entered Jerusalem, and
into the temple, with the adulation
of the multitude who hoped He
would become their new king.
Sadly, only a few days later,
many of these same people
would join the throngs
demanding that Christ be
crucified!
But there’s a part of the story
about the Triumphal Entry that
has always fascinated me. It’s
about the donkey colt Jesus rode
that day. That little animal has some
important lessons for us, I think.
The donkey was available
First, the little donkey was
available, ready to be used. Jesus
knew the colt was there, and sent
His disciples to the particular place
they could find him. And when the
animal’s owners were told that the
Master had need of the donkey,
they willingly let him go.
But the donkey was also willing.

sat on his back. He was unbroken,
untamed, untrained. But he was

Why didn’t Jesus choose a larger,
better-qualified animal to carry Him
— a spirited horse, or at least the
mother of the colt Why did He ask
for such a humble little animal
I believe the reason might be to
show us that the Lord can use small
things — if they’re available and
ready to be used. One doesn’t have
to have a great voice to sing God’s
praises. Nor is it necessary to have

great talent and training to teach a
Sunday School class. One need not
have “a way with words” to send
birthday greetings, get well, or
sympathy cards to people who need
to hear from someone who cares.
Are you available Are you willing
to do what you can for the Lord,
however small your talent or ability
seems to you There is something
you can do — God has given each
of us spiritual gifts to use in His
service.
But we have to be available. Had
the little colt been hidden away
where the disciples couldn’t find
him, he would have missed having
the Son of God ride upon his back!
Remember the story of the five
foolish virgins who were invited
to the marriage supper When
the bridegroom came, the five
foolish virgins were gone — not
available to go into the wedding.
How many times do you and I
miss out on God’s great blessings
simply because we’re not available
when the Lord desires to use us
The donkey was submissive
I don’t know a lot about animals,
but I’ve been told that horses, mules,
and donkeys have to be broken, or
trained to be ridden. They have to
learn to accept the burden of a
rider and to respond to his direction
and guidance.
This wild little donkey had never
been ridden before — no man had
ever sat on his back. But when the
disciples brought him to Jesus and
put a cloak on his back for a saddle,
he was submissive. There is no
record in the Scripture that he
protested, bucked, or rebelled.
He couldn’t have known what was
happening, or what was ahead. One

moment he was standing peacefully
at his mother’s side — the next he was
dragged away and a heavy burden
put upon him. And as far as we can
tell, the little donkey submitted to
these strange events without a fuss.
How often do we balk and buck
when asked to carry out some
assignment or bear some burden
“Why me” we cry. “Get somebody
else.”
So often we tend to hold back
until we can see the end from the
beginning. We want to see the light
at the end of the tunnel before we
go into it. We want to understand
everything happening in our lives
before we submit to it. But that’s
not the way life works. Submission
is more than agreeing just with
what we understand and approve.
How proud and presumptuous to
say to God, “Show me Your will for
my life, then if I like it, I’ll do it!”
The Apostle Peter warns, God
resisteth the proud, and giveth
grace to the humble. Humble

led by the Holy Spirit in such a way
that we will obey — blindly, if need
be — no matter what God asks.
The little donkey submitted to
Jesus ... and so should we.
The donkey was unafraid
Can you imagine a more difficult
and frightening time to be ridden
for the first time than this colt
experienced He had no preparation,
no training. He is snatched away
from his mother by strangers, another
stranger gets upon his back, and he
bears his first burden through narrow
streets crowded with excited, shouting
people, waving tree branches and
clothing, crowding around him from
every side.
Such an experience would be
enough to excite any animal and
make him nervous and skittish. But

the little donkey didn’t kick anybody
or try to get away. He just kept
going, carrying Jesus the way He
wanted to go.
I’m sure the Lord must have
leaned over and whispered to the
little animal, “Don’t be afraid. Don’t
fear — I’m with you.” And in the
most confusing circumstances, with
the press of the multitude all around,
the colt kept calm and cool. He just
kept on doing what he was supposed
to do, going where he was supposed
to go. And because Jesus was with
him, he was not afraid.
God’s supreme sacrifice
Bible scholars tell us there was
great significance in Jesus’ visit to
Jerusalem at this time, just before
the Passover sacrifices. The gate
Jesus entered to reach the city was
the one through which people
brought their sacrifices to the
temple. No doubt the streets were
full of sheep and lambs being led to
the sacrificial altar. And here comes
God’s Son, riding on a donkey, about
ready to be offered up as the supreme
sacrifice for the sins of the world!
So, because he was available,
submissive and unafraid, the little
donkey played a key role in one of
the most riveting events in all of
history.
If the donkey could speak to us
today, what do you suppose he
would say
It would not be the first time a
donkey spoke. The Old Testament,
in Numbers 22, tells of Balaam’s
donkey who chided the prophet who
rode him for opposing the will of
God. The donkey saw what Balaam’s
spiritually blinded eyes did not —
the angel of the Lord with a drawn
sword, standing in the path.
If you listen very carefully with
the ears of your heart, I think you
can hear the little donkey’s voice
even now. He’s saying ... “If God
could use me, He can use you, too.
No one is too humble or insignificant
to have a place in God’s service.

“Just be available — stay where
the Lord can reach you. Keep an
open heart, an open, holy life.
“Then, trust God enough to submit
to him. Don’t buck and kick against
the unknown. Decide that the Lord
knows what’s best and simply do
what He asks. He’ll never steer you
wrong!
“And last, you don’t have to be
afraid when Jesus is with you. His
presence, His touch, will calm your
fears and keep you on track no matter
what goes on around you.
“Maybe you’ve never done anything
great, or accomplished very
much before. But this year can
be different. If you’re available,
submissive, and unafraid, who
knows what you’ll be chosen to
do and how important it may be to
the world.
“After all, you’re more important
to God than a little donkey such as
I. And the very first time I was
ridden, I carried the King!”
