Receptions <strong>at</strong> <strong>Percheron</strong> <strong>Restaurant</strong> and <strong>Cafe</strong> Oranzeria <strong>Restaurant</strong><br />

<strong>Percheron</strong> <strong>Restaurant</strong> is loc<strong>at</strong>ed in the <strong>Kossak</strong> <strong>Hotel</strong><br />

**** situ<strong>at</strong>ed <strong>at</strong> the <strong>Kossak</strong> square and Zwierzyniecka<br />

street.<br />

The tenement house, on the basis of which the <strong>Hotel</strong><br />

was cre<strong>at</strong>ed, was designed in 1931 and built in 1935. It<br />

belonged to a Jewish Wasserberg family, being also the<br />

owners of hist<strong>or</strong>ic Krakow mills <strong>at</strong> Mogilska street.<br />

The Wasserberg family left Poland bef<strong>or</strong>e the war and<br />

settled in New Y<strong>or</strong>k. In the 60s on the tenement house<br />

was built the first Commercial House in Krakow<br />

„Jubil<strong>at</strong>”. Until 1995 the tenement house was the<br />

property of Wasserberg’s dsughter, who finally sold it<br />

to the present owners.<br />

The building adapted f<strong>or</strong> a hotel has 8 usable st<strong>or</strong>eys:<br />

ground flo<strong>or</strong> – reception, <strong>Percheron</strong> restaurant and<br />

Lobby Bar, flo<strong>or</strong>s from 1to 5 – hotel rooms, 6 th flo<strong>or</strong> –<br />

viewing halls, 7 th flo<strong>or</strong> - Orangery <strong>Cafe</strong> with an<br />

observ<strong>at</strong>ion deck on Wawel and the Old Town.<br />

Not only the views in the <strong>Restaurant</strong> are beautiful, this<br />

is also a place, where the architecture and <strong>at</strong>mosphere<br />

of the interi<strong>or</strong>s influence the guests with equal<br />

intensity as the magic of the city.<br />

The interi<strong>or</strong>s of the <strong>Percheron</strong> restaurant and Orangery<br />

<strong>Cafe</strong> are arranged in a modern clim<strong>at</strong>e, the well<br />

thought-out play of colours, texture, furniture, lighting<br />

and dec<strong>or</strong><strong>at</strong>ion is visible everywhere.<br />

In the interi<strong>or</strong>s of the <strong>Percheron</strong> restaurant special<br />

<strong>at</strong>tention deserve the <strong>or</strong>iginal lamps with „drunk” lamp<br />

shades, wall with the gallery of photographs of Krakow<br />

from the turn of the XIX century and comf<strong>or</strong>table<br />

couches.<br />

The auth<strong>or</strong>’s European cuisine with a tone of fusion, is<br />

our unquestionable asset.
