RSNA 2008 Courses Course Learning Objectives 1. Identify basic anatomic, pathologic and physiologic principles as they apply to specific disease processes, organ-based diagnostic imaging or radiation oncology. 2. Describe the physics of particular imaging and therapeutic modalities for improving quality while reducing patient risk and/or response. 3. Analyze current and future imaging and therapeutic techniques with respect to protocol development, patient management, algorithms and cost. 4. Assess the influence of socioeconomic issues on current and future practice patterns. 5. Compare indications and contraindications for specific image-guided procedures. Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs) RSNA has submitted applications to the American Board of Radiology (ABR) to offer a series of self-assessment modules to fulfill the ABR’s maintenance of certification (MOC) requirements. SAMs will be offered in a variety of subspecialties as well as in general content areas. Courses being offered as SAMs are indicated by .
