Government Affairs Committee<br />
Staying Connected With Our Representatives<br />
This important committee is designed<br />
to provide a voice <strong>from</strong> <strong>the</strong> business community<br />
on selected issues which impact<br />
business, by observing and reporting on<br />
governmental issues that affect ei<strong>the</strong>r local<br />
businesses or <strong>the</strong> community in general<br />
and disseminate <strong>the</strong> information to<br />
<strong>Members</strong>. Don Williams, owner of Nelscott<br />
Café, is <strong>the</strong> new board liaison for <strong>the</strong><br />
Government Affairs Committee and has<br />
announced that <strong>the</strong> committee will meet<br />
<strong>the</strong> first Tuesday of each month at his café<br />
at 6:00 p.m.<br />

Ahhhhh….summer wea<strong>the</strong>r…hasn’t it just been something to crow about So many wonderful events are going on in our<br />
fair city to go along with <strong>the</strong> beautiful wea<strong>the</strong>r. For up to date events, check out <strong>the</strong> complete events calendar at www.oregoncoast.org/calendar/<br />
and have yourself a fun-filled end of summer!<br />
Plan ahead, mark your calendar for October 22 for our first ever Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce fund raising, Artober<br />
Brewfest, to be held at <strong>the</strong> Lincoln City Cultural Center <strong>from</strong> 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.. A fun day is being planned with art, craft<br />
brews, and food, in conjunction with o<strong>the</strong>r surprises in <strong>the</strong> works. Reserve your 10 x 10 booth space now to get in on <strong>the</strong> fun.<br />
A hint of things to come…tasty confections <strong>from</strong> our own My Petite Sweet, beer sausages and brews galore, along with many<br />
artistic creations to tempt you.<br />
Ano<strong>the</strong>r hugely important event this year was <strong>the</strong> Red Cross Blood Drive. Sponsored by <strong>the</strong> Chamber, <strong>the</strong> Blood Mobile<br />
was at <strong>the</strong> Chamber parking lot on Friday, September 2 <strong>from</strong> 11 a.m. till 4 p.m. Do you know that a single donation could<br />
