The SERIES 4000KR DIGIQUARTZ ®<br />

PRESSURE<br />

TRANSDUCERS provide the ultimate in precision high<br />

pressure measurements. Typical application accuracy of<br />

0.01% is achieved even under difficult environmental<br />

conditions. These compact, rugged, integrated sensors<br />

are available in eight pressure ranges up to 40,000 psi.<br />

Most of the pressure ranges of the 1.37 inch diameter KR<br />

transducers operate up to 177°C. Desirable<br />

characteristics include 1×10 -8<br />

resolution, low power<br />

consumption, and high shock resistance. The<br />

transducers are simple to install in downhole tools and<br />

interface easily with counters and digital computer<br />

systems.<br />

The remarkable performance of these transducers is<br />

achieved through the use of a precision quartz crystal<br />

resonator whose frequency of oscillation varies with<br />

pressure induced stress. A quartz crystal temperature<br />

signal is provided to thermally compensate the<br />

calculated pressure and achieve high accuracy over a<br />

broad range of temperatures. The small, rugged<br />

package provides integral shock protection and the<br />

ability to withstand high shock, vibration and acceleration<br />

loads. Welded buffer tubes, electrical connections, and<br />

housings ensure transducer integrity. All transducers<br />

may be installed without the need for additional isolating<br />

diaphragms or bellows.<br />

High precision and resolution are mandatory for<br />

applications such as oil, gas, and geothermal energy<br />

exploration, reservoir analysis, and permanent downhole<br />

installations. Accuracy comparable to the primary<br />

standards makes the Series 4000 KR <strong>Transducers</strong> ideal<br />

for high performance production monitoring systems.<br />
