G race notes
Are you producing fruit in your life
By Rev. John Skeie
Chaplain
As the fall season arrives, we
are made mindful of what
we have sown in the past and now
are producing in the present. How
will our harvest be What will our
production amount to
God calls Christians to be fruit
bearers and to produce a bountiful
crop for His kingdom. In John 15:4,
Jesus says, “You cannot be fruitful
apart from Me.” In verse eight, He
says, “My true disciples produce a
great harvest and this brings glory to
my Father in heaven.”
Just what are the fruits Christ
speaks about that we are to bear and
produce
The apostle Paul wrote to the
church in Galatia, “But when the
Holy Spirit controls our lives, He will
produce the following fruits in us:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and
self-control” (Galatians 5:22-23).
Let’s take time to ponder and
consider each one of these fruits. Are
you producing them in your life and
for the lives of others
May God help us to be healthy,
faithful plants in His garden of grace,
watered by His love, warmed by our
faith, and nurtured by hope. ✞
G ifts can come in all shapes and sizes
Thanks to donors, we now have new outdoor furniture and
benches, which residents and families use while visiting,
reading and enjoying the outdoors.
