Chinese 'spinach' jade dish, Qing dynasty, the Mughal style thin‐walled lobed body of melon form with low<br />

sides flaring slightly at the rim and bracketed by a pair of butterfly handles suspending loose rings, all raised<br />

on four short supports, the semi‐translucent dark green body flecked with black inclusions, 11.325''l; with a<br />

footed stand with a reticulated apron; Provenance: collection of Reynold Tom of Oakland, now offered on<br />

Chinese carved jade brush washer, of double‐gourd form two tear‐drop shaped apertures opening to a well<br />

hollowed interior, the exterior headed with a leafy branch further suspending a small double gourd, the vessel<br />

also accented with a pair of bats and sprigs of chrysanthemum to the underside, the sea‐green matrix with<br />

occasional icy flecks, 5.5'' $ 325<br />

Chinese carved jade plaque, Qing dynasty, the ovoid section carved with a caparisoned auspicious elephant<br />

supporting kalasa (an amphora holding the elixir of immortality) and accompanied by an attendant below a<br />

wanzi emblem, the reverse bearing a pair of five‐character couplets by Su Shi (1037‐1101) titled 'chun xiao'<br />

and reading 'chun xiao yi ke zhi qian jin, hua you qing xiang yue you yin, ge guan lou tai sheng xi xi, qiu qian<br />

yuan luo ye shen shen' and proceeded by the name 'Zigang', the celadon matrix with light gray and white<br />

phoenix along with floral decoration and suspending a pair of turquoise and a pair of carnelian beads above<br />

flat snout and accented with a pair of faintly incised eyes below long contoured brows and ears at the back of<br />

neatly tucked underneath, the tan‐gray colored stone suffused with a network of fine dark striations, 1.75''w<br />
