<strong>Admitted</strong> <strong>Student</strong> <strong>Checklist</strong><br />

1. Submit your deposit!<br />

The only way to secure your space at Simmons is by depositing. You may<br />

send in a check by mail to The Office of Undergraduate Admission, 300 The<br />

Fenway, Boston, MA 02115 or you can deposit through our secure online<br />

form.<br />

2. Join the Facebook Class of 2016 page<br />

The Facebook Class of 2016 page is a great way to meet your fellow<br />

classmates, share information, and maybe even find a roommate!<br />

3. Check your Simmons email account<br />

You should be checking your Simmons email account regularly throughout<br />

the summer because all official e-mails will go to your Simmons e-mail<br />

account. You will receive your username and password in your deposit<br />

packet. If you do not have this, you can call the Simmons Help Desk (617-<br />

521-2222) and they will provide you with this information. Note: You will<br />

need to provide your Simmons ID number when you call. You can access<br />

your email at connection.simmons.edu.<br />

4. Register for Summer Orientation<br />

There are two different orientation sessions. Dates are to be announced.<br />

During orientation you will meet with your advisor, register for classes,<br />

meet other admitted students, and learn important information about<br />

attending Simmons! While it’s not mandatory, it is HIGHLY recommended<br />

that you attend Summer Orientation.<br />

5. Submit your housing application<br />

Housing assignments will be emailed to your Simmons account throughout<br />

the summer, beginning in mid-July. More information about the housing<br />

options can be found on the Residence Life Website. Please note that the<br />

Office of Residence Life will not be able to consider your residence<br />

application until the admission office has received your deposit.


6. Schedule a complete physical with your doctor<br />

It is important to see your doctor before attending Simmons so that you<br />

can fill out your health center forms and make sure that you have all of the<br />

required vaccinations. You may download the forms and send these to the<br />

Simmons Health Center, 94 Pilgrim Road, Boston, MA, 02115 or by fax:<br />

617-521-3467.<br />

7. Take online placement tests (optional)<br />

The Center for Academic Achievement offers online placement tests for<br />

chemistry, French, and Spanish. The chemistry placement test is only for<br />

students who plan to take a chemistry course either as part of her major, or<br />

to fulfill a science requirement. All students must take a language<br />

placement test. This can be taken at orientation or online. Please note that<br />

only French and Spanish placement tests are offered online at the moment.<br />

8. Order a fall 2012 semester T-pass<br />

One semester's worth of monthly MBTA passes may be ordered through the<br />

Office of <strong>Student</strong> Leadership and Activities at MCB-W002. Through this<br />

program, students receive four monthly passes at an 11% discount from the<br />

normal MBTA cost. You can download an order form or order directly<br />

online.<br />

9. Get ready for Fall Orientation and Move­in Day!<br />

Move-in Day and the first day of Fall Orientation is September 2nd. Need<br />
