Bed & Breakfasts and Hostels are inspected by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board,
but are not classified by a star system.
The B&B category covers a variety of good quality houses in both town and country areas, ranging from large period
residences to modern bungalows. Evening meals are available in many of them, please check when booking.
The Hostel category covers establishments providing low cost accommodation. Breakfast is sometimes provided, though a
self-catering kitchen is more usual. Private and family rooms may be available at a higher cost.
Caravanning & Camping sites are not inspected or classified by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
The Northern Ireland Tourist Board has no control over Caravan and Camping Parks.
The UK Caravan and Camping Park ‘Star Quality Grading Scheme’ reflects the overall quality of the park and not the range of facilities
it provides. The highest rating of Five Stars is reserved for those parks of exceptional quality which also provide specific key facilities
and services. In Northern Ireland, the scheme is administered jointly by the National Caravan Council and the British Holiday and
Homes Parks Association and is supported and endorsed by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board. Each park is visited by an independent
inspector and assessed on the efficiency of service, general maintenance of the facilities and the layout and landscaping. Particular
emphasis is placed on the standard of cleanliness throughout.

In addition, certain key facilities and services are also provided.
**** Parks providing an ‘Excellent’ level of cleanliness, service, overall maintenance and groundmanship.

* Parks providing an ‘Acceptable’ level of cleanliness, service, overall maintenance and groundmanship.
Non-scheme inspected, but local council licensed parks are also provided as ‘basic’ entries.
Please note the UK Graded Scheme is currently under review.
This may have a subsequent effect on the star ratings published for each park.

at the time of booking. Please telephone immediately in the event of a cancellation. Should it be necessary to cancel or
amend a booking without sufficient prior notice, a financial penalty normally applies.
