Exceptionally wide range of
functions
The METTLER TOLEDO O 2 Transmitter
features the following:
– Simultaneous measurement of O 2
partial pressure, temperature and
ambient air pressure.
– Via HART ® communication the
O 2 4220X can be configured and
remote controlled from the control
room. Measured values and messages
are retrievable at any time
allowing integration in fully automatic
production systems.
– In addition to the standard loop
current, the unit provides a passive
current output that can also be
defined as a switching output.
It allows to transmit a further measured
variable to the control
room, monitor limit values, or
create a process control system
using the integrated controller.
A series of safety functions
monitors the correct measurement
– A self-test checks the operation of
the instrument and provides data for
QM documentation in accordance
with DIN ISO 9000.
– Sensocheck ® continuously monitors
the state of the sensor.
– The adjustable calibration timer
tracks the calibration schedule.
The following functions provide
documentary support
– Two user-defined variables are
recorded and simultaneously
represented by two graphs on the
display. This allows to follow the
process sequence and gives important
information on process
control and monitoring.
– The logbook records the last 200
events, with date and time, e.g.
calibrations, warning and failure
messages, auxiliary power failure,
etc. QM documentation in compliance
with DIN ISO 9000 ff. is
therefore possible.
–The calibration records show all
relevant data of the last calibration
for documentation to GMP.
–The sensor statistics provide an
overview of the condition of the
sensor. Changes in sensor data
between calibrations can be
checked and the values even
compared with those of the first
calibration.
Four different calibration modes
are available
– Automatic calibration in airsaturated
water
– Automatic calibration in air
– Manual entry of saturation value
– Manual entry of sensor data
Additional functions
– Instrument design meeting EMC
demands
– EMC-protected to NAMUR requirements
– High-quality graphics display
– Self-explanatory graphical userinterface
to NAMUR specification
– Permanent data storage during
power failure
– Manual entry of pressure
– Automatic O 2 salinity correction
– Digital input filter for transient
suppression
– Self-contained clock
Warranty
–3 years warranty for transmitter
– 1 year warranty for accessories
Together with sensors and
housings from METTLER TOLEDO,
complete measurement systems
can be configured to provide a
high level of process safety.
