WELCOME TO LABADEE SM
Although originally said to have
been discovered by Christopher
Columbus in 1492, it wasn’t until Royal Caribbean discovered it five centuries
later that it became the secluded tropical paradise that it is today. The two
main historical monuments on Labadee SM are Nellie’s Place and the Old Bell
Tower. Legend has it that Nellie was an Englishwoman who arrived at the time
of the buccaneers and set up a trading post and tavern for visiting ships and
their crews. The Old Bell Tower was erected to announce their arrival. The
actual bell in the tower was plundered long before the arrival of Royal
Caribbean, but was previously used to ring out across the hillsides and let local
farmers know when to bring their produce down to the quay.

A wide variety of activities and interests await you in beautiful Labadee. The
picture perfect coastal location of Labadee brings out the inner adventure

suggestions that will allow you to make the most of the time on your private
destination in Labadee.
The Adventurer: Are you the type of person who enjoys adventure and seeks thrills
Begin your adventure by experiencing the zip of the Dragon’s Breath Flight
Line or parasailing over 300ft above Labadee. Both provide a rush and a bird’s
eye view of our peninsula and beaches. You can feel the adrenalin on a Wave
Jet Tour or ride a High Speed Coastal Adventure. Finish off your stay with the
thrill of the Dragon’s Tail Alpine Coaster, racing down the mountain of Labadee.
All of these experiences will satisfy your desire for adventure.
The Explorer: Do you investigate unknown regions, have a thirst for knowledge
Venture into the past or learn about the present day Haiti by making one of
these choices. Enjoy a walking tour of our site with a local guide or by exploring
the rich history by sea on a cultural experience. Explorers can also kayak back
in time to a nearby village. Any of these choices will quench your thirst for
knowledge and the unknown.
The Beach Lover: Do you like dipping your toes in the sand with an occasional
swim, relax for the day on a beach or enjoy a leisurely walk
Begin your day with a leisurely walk or a tram ride to explore the bountiful
beaches. Once you have found the perfect spot, get a floating beach mat to
enjoy the warm water or simply just relax among the palms on a lounge chair
while enjoying your favorite cocktail from a beach bar waiter. We also have
several beach escapes available through excursions. Time to feel the sand
between your toes!
To enjoy the calm waters of Labadee, Columbus Cove and Nellie's Beach have been
allocated as the best swimming areas. For Lounging and capturing sunrays, Dragon's
Tail is a vast beach with a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean.

General Information
ACCESSIBILITY: Complimentary beach wheelchairs
are available for guests with disabilities at the
Information Center. Wheelchairs are easily
accommodated at all food and beverage venues,
restrooms, beaches & tram.
HEALTH AND FIRST AID: Because the tropical
sun’s rays can be very deceptive, even on cloudy
days, we suggest the use of sun-screen and, if
necessary, light protective clothing such as T-shirts
and cover-ups. It is advisable to have some
footwear as a protection against the hot sand and
pathways. Try to avoid strenuous activity on shore
or in the water after eating. To reduce the risk of
dehydration, drink plenty of liquids. Our First Aid
Station is manned throughout the day.
SWIMMING: For Safety and enjoyment, Columbus
Cove and Nellie’s beach have been allocated for
swimming. Dragon’s beach has been designated for
Sunbathing.
SHOPPING: Labadee offers two types of shopping
experiences.
THE ARTISAN’S MARKET
AND THE ARTISIAN’S VILLAGE: (Cash Only). Be
ready to bargain, the vendors are eager to make a sale.
TRADING POSTS: (SeaPass) t-shirts, sunglasses,
hats and accessories.
LUNCH: Enjoy our complimentary BBQ Lunch at
any one of our three designated food facilities.
Please consult your Cruise Compass for hours of
operation.
ISLAND PURCHASE: The SeaPass card can be used
for the purchase of any activities or beverages.
FRESH WATER: Water in the restrooms is NOT
intended for drinking. Drinking water is available by
the glass at all bar locations and cafés.
PLANTS AND MARINE LIFE: Please help us to
preserve the natural beauty of Labadee by not
picking the flowers or removing marine life such as
shells or coral from the water.
GARBAGE: Your cooperation is requested in
keeping Labadee free of garbage. Kindly use the
receptacles provided.
LOUNGE CHAIRS: Just as on board, lounge chairs
on Labadee are complimentary. They cannot be
reserved and guests are kindly requested not to
offer payment for the chairs. This also applies to
hammocks found throughout the beach area.
ADVENTURE OCEAN ® : Children and Teens ages 3
to 17 will have activities supervised by your Youth
Staff at the Labadee Adventure Ocean Facility.

of activities.
TOWELS: Be sure to pick up towels at the pool deck
towel station, as they will not be available on the
island. Check your Cruise Compass for hours of
operation for the towel station.
