ROBO-FEEDER
The Robo-Feeder is a robot designed
to reduce both cost and manpower for
bookletmaking in the digital printing
world.The basic concept:Any digital press
has an output stacker. Just take the stack
from there and put it into the Robo-Feeder
which will do the feeding. Counting sheets
off the stack is a standard feature, and
optical mark reading is an accessory to
ensure an even higher standard of set
integrity.And the Robo-Feeder will serve
a multitude of digital presses, which is
naturally not the case with an online
bookletmaker.
Manpower
• The Robo-Feeder feeds sets into
the bookletmaker without operator
assistance
• Intervals between reloading are minimised
thanks to a generous 1,300 sheet stacking
capacity (80 gsm or 20 lb. bond)
• No need for unloading the print engine’s
sorter when full
Cost
• Online bookletmakers tend to be a
much higher investment or lease
• Online bookletmakers can become
obsolete together with the digital
press, which is not the case with the
Robo-Feeder bookletmaking system
Auto-Inverter ensures feeding at full speed and avoids the
need for printing in a special sequence.
Bypass Bottlenecks
• The Robo-Feeder feeds faster than the
print engine prints.This allows it to serve
multiple print engines easily
• Bookletmaking no longer limited to the
printer having an online bookletmaker.
• Insertion of booklet covers is a standard
feature. Unlike some digital presses,
pre-printed covers or heavy stock can
be fed easily
• Finishes up to 100 page booklets (80 gsm
or 20 lb. bond)
• Because it can separate a straight stack
into sets there is no need for a sorter.
All sorters will halt the print job for
unloading after their 10 or so bins are
full, slowing down even fast presses.
