From the recent 50th Anniversary to the culmination of an outstanding<br />

reunion year and dedication of a new Timeline exhibit, great things are<br />

happening at <strong>Moeller</strong> High, and I couldn’t be prouder to call this my alma<br />

mater and serve as y<strong>our</strong> president of the Alumni Association.<br />

We continue to recruit and build <strong>our</strong> class captains for each graduating<br />

year so that we can spread the good news, network, and engage the now<br />

more than 10,000 alums who are the “Men of <strong>Moeller</strong>.” We need y<strong>our</strong> help!<br />

you can help. You will see a complete listing of the<br />

current class captains in this publication, and several<br />

R. DEAN MEISZER,<br />

BROTHER EVESLAGE AWARD:<br />

Presented to an individual who through<br />

years of tireless effort has made significant<br />

contributions to the growth of <strong>Moeller</strong>:<br />

Dean Meiszer is a co-founder and president<br />

of CBank. The bank was formed in<br />

2007 to provide Commercial Banking<br />

services to locally owned companies in<br />

the Greater Cincinnati market.<br />

Furthermore, CBank provides private<br />

banking products and services to the<br />

area business owners and professionals in <strong>our</strong> community.<br />

Prior to forming CBank, Dean had a 17-year investment and<br />

merchant banking career with The Crisler Company and other related<br />

enterprises. Upon graduation from Bowling Green State University,<br />

he joined Key Bank where he worked for his first 11 years while<br />

simultaneously earning an MBA at Xavier University.<br />

He and his wife, Susan, have two children, Nicholas ’06 and Natalie<br />

(MND ’08). Dean is the past chair of <strong>Moeller</strong>’s Finance Committee and<br />

vice chair of the Advisory Board where he worked closely with the<br />

<strong>Moeller</strong> administration for eight years.<br />

outstanding service to his<br />

community and who has distinguished<br />

himself as a <strong>Moeller</strong> alumnus:<br />

Jay Rains is a partner with DLA Piper,<br />

one of the world’s largest law firms,<br />

where he is global co-chair of the firm’s<br />

Corporate and Securities Group and a<br />

member of the firm’s executive committee.<br />

The respected English research firm<br />

Chambers & Partners lists Jay in Chambers USA: America’s Leading<br />

Lawyers for Business, noting that “He is known for the high quality of<br />

his work.” Jay has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America<br />

and as a San Diego “Super Lawyer.” Additionally, the San Diego Daily<br />

Transcript named him among San Diego County's Top Attorneys,<br />

“the peer-selected best and brightest in San Diego’s legal arena.”<br />
