Welcome to Week 4 our NAIDOC week celebrations. Well done to all the <strong>Glenroi</strong> <strong>Heights</strong><br />
students who marched yesterday. Our school had a huge representation and all displayed our<br />
school expectations of being respectful, responsible, cooperative and safe. Thank you to the<br />
parents who also joined us for the march. Congratulations to our two Quiet Achiever Award<br />
winners, Taya Whitley from Kindergarten and Jada Murphy from Year 6.<br />
We are looking forward to seeing you on Thursday for our family picnic/fete and the official<br />
opening of our 'Outdoor Yarning Circle'.<br />
Our K-6 Assembly on Friday will start at 12:15. We will be presenting our NAIDOC week<br />
AECG award winners in addition to our usual awards.<br />

Outdoor Yarning Circle<br />
I am Respectful when I:<br />
-Look after the space and equipment I<br />
am using<br />
-Keep the area clean and tidy<br />
-Take turns to speak and listen to<br />
what others are saying<br />
I am Responsible when I:<br />
-Pack up any equipment and take<br />
rubbish away<br />
-Listen to the teacher/adults<br />
instructions<br />
I am Cooperative when I:<br />
-Help look after the space in<br />
and around the circle<br />
-Use and share the space with others<br />
I am Safe when I:<br />
-Walk around the circle at all times<br />
-Play all running and ball games on<br />
the oval<br />
-Keep my hands and feet to myself<br />
Reminders:<br />
Chewing Gum.<br />
Please be aware that students are not allowed to<br />
have chewing gum at school.<br />
Before <strong>School</strong><br />
Students should not arrive at school before<br />
8:40. If your child is at school before this time<br />
they are not supervised, as teachers at not on<br />
duty until 8:40, and they must sit on the steps<br />
outside the assembly hall if they are in Years 3-6<br />
or outside their classroom if they are in K-2.<br />
