Milesi and IVM Group
Milesi products were born in 1947 in Italy, from Milesi spa, a company specialized in the production of coatings, stains and
primers for wood.
In 1970, Milesi spa became part of IVM, the most important Multinational Group in Europe, and among the first groups in the
world in this sector. It has Subsidiaries in Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Poland and Greece, distributing in over 70 Countries
thanks to a highly specialized Sales Network.
In 2007, IVM Chemicals originated from the merger between Milesi and the other Italian Companies of the Group.
The project involves the building together of highly productive plant, thanks to the possibility offered by the processing of
quantities never managed before by a single plant.
The International Development Division was created at the same time, and is exclusively dedicated to the distribution of
Milesi products all over the world.

Mission
IVM Group has the objective to answer the needs of all people working with wood, from small users to wood industry.

The choice to constantly allocate important investments into Research and Development: IVM Group invests more than 8%
of its proceeds in it.

always guaranteeing its collaborators unity and consistency in strategies, security, and reliability in administration. Today, the
resulting stability of its management and collaborators allows the Group to count on a team composed by the most relevant
experts in the field of wood coating, products, and market needs.
Production
Milesi products are manufactured in the largest and most modern manufacturing establishment in the world, specialized
in the production of wood coatings. The design of its industrial equipment is meant to offer the best quality guarantees:
high process standardization, the constant possibility to intervene with tests and quality controls, the optimization of loading
operations and a complete control of raw materials and finished products. From the smallest to the largest production lots,
everything is organized, managed and controlled by a central processing system, in order to constantly guarantee product
quality and client satisfaction.
The organization, its business policies and the Department of “Ecology and Safety” guarantee the utmost safeguard of the
individual, to a larger extent than what established by the most severe safety regulations.
The utmost attention to issues relating to the environment, ecology and human health ensure rigorous complete
controls on the formulation of products, anticipating even the most advanced regulations.

Research and Development
Milesi products have been studied and developed by over 200 researchers who, in the European Research and
Development labs of the Group, work every day in constant telematic contact for the future of wood coatings, with the most
technologically advanced instruments.
The labs study specific solutions in order to meet the client’s requirements. They verify and adjust the results thanks to a
wide Application Laboratory provided with state of the art coating systems.
Technical Assistance
Milesi has a vast and highly specialized Technical Support Network. They regularly visit clients’ production sites and
advise them on the most innovative technical and applicative choices and on the most suitable solutions for their needs.
