An enchanting marionette version of Xenakis’s only opera, based
on Aeschylus’s tragic trilogy of retribution. Choreographer Luca
Veggetti directs the puppeteers of the City Parks Foundation in four
performances of the 90-minute work, from 1pm until 10pm.

P e r s e p h a s s a on the lake
New York’s first open-air performance of this thunderous
work for six percussionists takes place around the Central
Park Lake, with the audience members in the center – in
rowboats. Led by master percussionists Steve Schick and
Doug Perkins. Performances at 4:15pm and 5:45pm; allow
at least 30 minutes to row your boat into position.
