Founded by opera s<strong>in</strong>gers with a<br />

desire to lift their voices for social<br />

change, S<strong>in</strong>g for Hope mobilizes<br />

more than 600 world-class<br />

artists— from classical musicians<br />

to photographers to Broadway<br />

performers — who donate time<br />

and talent <strong>in</strong> our volunteer service<br />

programs that benefit schools,<br />

hospitals and communities.<br />

S<strong>in</strong>g for Hope is an “artists’ peace<br />

corps”, and our three volunteer<br />

service programs are:<br />

Art U! dynamic arts and<br />

leadership education for more<br />

than 2,<strong>000</strong> under-resourced<br />

youth each year<br />

Heal<strong>in</strong>g Arts <strong>in</strong>-hospital<br />

performances and workshops for<br />

About Play Me, I’m Yours<br />

and Luke Jerram<br />

Tour<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>ternationally s<strong>in</strong>ce<br />

2008, Play Me, I’m Yours is an<br />

artwork by artist Luke Jerram. Luke<br />

Jerram’s multidiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary practice<br />

<strong>in</strong>volves the creation <strong>of</strong> sculptures,<br />

<strong>in</strong>stallations, live arts projects and<br />

gifts. S<strong>in</strong>ce his pr<strong>of</strong>essional career<br />

as an artist began <strong>in</strong> 1997, Luke has<br />

created a number <strong>of</strong> extraord<strong>in</strong>ary art<br />

projects that excite and <strong>in</strong>spire people<br />

around him. After the two-week Play<br />

Me, I’m Yours <strong>in</strong>stallation, S<strong>in</strong>g for<br />

Hope will donate all 60 pianos to local<br />

schools and hospitals, enrich<strong>in</strong>g local<br />

communities for years to come.<br />
