Gregory’s Bar & Grill at the Red
Lion Hotel across from SeaTac Airport
is one of Seattle’s longest-running
karaoke hotspots, kicking off their
singing tradition back in 1997.
There are always a roomful of
unique and well-tuned personalities
at Gregory’s to add to your karaoke
enlightenment. Some of these people
were around and remember well back
when they began under host, Russ.
Shortly thereafter, Karr Productions
was formed and Aury Moore began
hosting the karaoke at Gregory’s for
her friend and co-owner of Karr at the
time, Pat Walker. Her karaoke hosting
experience started way before this
even, but she won’t admit to it.
Oren Artlip eventually went into
partnership with Pat and later bought
him out to take over the business on
his own. Aury says the equipment is
always in tip-top condition and they
feature more shows a week now than
ever before – 17 to be exact.
Today, Gregory’s crowd enjoys
three alternating hosts each week; Aury
on Fridays, Alisa on Saturdays and now,
the lovely Pauline every Thursday night.
Pauline’s desire to keep her customers
happy and singing is paramount. Her
sweet personality keeps the bar full
from start to finish.
Eric “Cartman” Horton was in
the house! Now a part-time host for
Karr Productions, Eric will fill in for
any one of Oren’s girls anytime.
Gregory’s is known unto wayward
travelers as an optimal layover
between destinations for their lively
karaoke, not to mention a slew of
locals that call Gregory’s home. Like
Donald, for example, a longtime lover of
karaoke and quite the country crooner
when he’s not performing his signature
The Auctioneer. This night, he was
struggling with a persistent cough, but
